I have been posting items for sale on Craigslist for about three years now. Most of the sales come from phone calls, but I like to keep the email option open for those that don’t feel comfortable calling a stranger from the internet.
I usually keep my account logged in all day as I post and re-post items for sale on Craigslist.
Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed that CL has automatically been signing my account out, which can be frustrating if you are in the middle of a post.
If you receive an email that is claiming to be from Craigslist telling you that your account is going to expire, do not click the link in the email. It is a scam.
It is a phishing scam to get your email address with your Craigslist account password.
The email will look something like this:
Subject: Info about your account REF498066

Here is a simple tip: If you are planning to buy tickets to a sporting event or concert through Craigslist, use common sense.
